Compelling Narratives
Independent Project
Compelling narratives uses form as a tool to investigate the unvisual.
Stemming from my interest in the human experience, this project brings an aspect of human experience into animation. The sculpture is a product of audio deterioration; starting with the control cube and exposing it to the physical force of audio. We arrive at an object that has experienced sound and are left with a model of the un-visual.

The goal is to take this into the realm of neurological data.

Process
The black masses are ‘particles’ that are being stressed by audio.
Bounded by a box, the particles are pushed and pulled by the vectors of a chosen audio track. Resulting in images that provide evidence of this animation.
These 2D black images are interpolated and compounded to create a 3D form that we can hold.
